Periodontal Treatment

Smiling may be one of a person’s most prominent characteristics. Our smiles are as unique as our fingerprints, so it’s no surprise that they’re usually the first feature people notice. After all, who would forget a white and healthy smile?
Of course, there are many issues that can affect the overall appearance of your smile. Fortunately, over the past few decades, cosmetic dentistry has developed rapidly, enabling us to provide all services from minor adjustments to comprehensive transformations. Through the latest technology and processes, we can treat discolored, stained, chipped, cracked, crowded, and crowded teeth.
Signs of Periodontal Disease
- Red or purple gums
- Swollen, shiny gums
- Tender teeth and gums
- Sudden bad breath
- Gums pulling away from teeth
Treating Your Gum Disease
Periodontal disease can be persistent. We will take a multi-pronged approach to address it from every side. These steps typically include:
- Scaling – Scaling is the physical removal of plaque and bacteria from tooth surfaces. While this is performed at every dental exam, it’s more thorough during periodontal treatment.
- Root planing – Planing removes plaque from below the gumline and from periodontal pockets. We will also reshape the tooth roots to make them less likely to welcome bacterial growth in the future.
- Arestin – We use Arestin to place antibiotics at the gum line. Medications release gradual doses of medication to continue treating periodontal disease.
- Ongoing Monitoring – Once the periodontal disease has struck, it is much more likely to return. We will schedule future exams at an interval that allows us to carefully monitor your gums.

She had a gum numbing gel that she applied first so she could do a deep cleaning for me. The doctor was actually wonderful. I've lived here for 34 years and I didn't know that they were in that location 2 miles from my house for 26 years.Posted on Google Curtis YoungJuly 6, 2026 I always have a pleasant experience.
